Privacy Policy

Choreo is a household task-coordination app. This policy explains what data the app handles, why, and the choices you have. We keep it plain because the app is meant to be calm — and so is this.
Who we are
Choreo is operated by the Choreo team. For any privacy question or request, contact privacy@choreo.nl.
What we collect
- Your email address — to sign you in via a one-time code or magic link.
- Basic Google account info (email, name) — only if you choose to sign in with Google.
- Household content you create — task names, notes, schedules, room and member names, and roles.
- Completion photos — only if you choose to attach one to a completed task. They are visible only to your household.
- A push-notification token — to deliver the reminders you enable.
- Your device language and time zone — to show the app in your language and schedule reminders at the right local time.
- Minimal technical logs — to keep the service reliable and secure.
We do not show ads, sell your data, or run advertising trackers.
Why we use it (legal bases)
- To provide the app (performance of a contract) — sign-in, syncing your household, storing your tasks.
- With your consent — optional completion photos and push notifications. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests — keeping the service secure and working.
Who processes it for us
We use a small set of trusted providers, only to run the service:
- Supabase — database, authentication, file storage and realtime sync (hosted in the EU).
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivering push notifications to your device.
- Resend — sending your sign-in emails.
Where your data lives
Your household data is stored in the European Union. Some providers (such as Google's push service) may process limited data — like a device push token — outside the EU under appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as you use Choreo. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data — see Delete your account. If you are the last member of a household, that household and its shared data are removed with you; if others remain, only your membership is removed.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access to your data, correct it, delete it, export it, or object to certain processing. Email privacy@choreo.nl and we will respond within the time the law requires. You may also contact your local data-protection authority.
Children
Choreo supports "kid" members within a household, but children do not have their own accounts and do not sign in — a parent or guardian manages their tasks. Choreo is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data directly from a child.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, and access to your household data is restricted by per-user database rules so only your household can see it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for meaningful changes, let you know in the app.
